From the Downers Grove Patch comment thread, area resident Dan Slayden raises questions Advocates and Julia Beckman refuse to answer:
I am not sure were else to post these questions I have regarding the election issues that have been raised by Mr Jacobsze in his complaint to the Board of elections:
1. A patch story regarding Mr Gorski dropping out of the race that appeared on March 22, 2013 was changed. The first story indicated that there were only 4 candidates remaining so it was an “uncontested” race. It was changed to indicate that if either of the candidates that had withdrawn were elected and refused to act, the Board would appoint a the new member.
2. That change was after “Zoey Chamberlain” commented on the article on March 24th telling people to vote for “anyone but Debbie.” That comment has been deleted as of April 20th. Given the fact that “Zoey” is an alias, It will be interesting to see if Henry can get the Board to supbeona Patch for information about who “Zoey” is. Could it be that someone at DGCA knew about Henry withdrawing before April 6th, as they have stated, and was actually posting on Patch? Here comes the litigation hold?
3. Has DGCA or Julia Beckman produced the signed consent form from Henry allowing them to send out campaign literature on his behalf? If not, oh oh, we have a problem.
4. Isn’t it interesting that DGCA did not file a D-1 for 7 years unti, surprise, Meghan Schroeder filed one on April 16, 2013? Was Ken Lerner really the Chairman until April 16th? DGCA was not reactivated until April 2nd? When did they print those mailers? When did they send them out? All very strange. Can’t wait to see the July 2013 expenditure report for DGCA.
More to come
I spoke with Ken directly about that. As one of the actual founders of Advocates, he quit in 2007 when it became apparent to him the endorsement process was rigged, and the group no longer served the community as claimed.
Ken was never Chairman of Advocates. Stephen Daniels was Chair. Another lie rolled out by Megan Schroeder, another attempt to cover-up and confuse the issue. Neither the Local nor ID numbers are the same from before, so this is a new filing. Is it legal to use people that way?
As Mr. Slayden has pointed out, there are many unanswered questions.
Another commenter raises an interesting question when they said this:
Susan you would have to ask the former Superintendent David Eblen and former Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Mary Biniewicz about that. And maybe former School Board President Julia Beckman, who gladly padded both retirement salaries while she was in charge of the Board.
My understanding is she wants to be School Board President again, so she can resume all the bad things she did before. I hope other board members, especially the new Mr. Pavinato, steer clear of her corrupting influence.
Articles here and in the Tribune say election complaints have been filed against Julia Beckman and her group for violating state laws? Shouldn’t she be suspended from participating in our school board until the charges have been investigated?
Questions questions questions. And no answers.
